Choosing an FBA center for delivery

Question:

I have inventory in my 3PL warehouse in California.

When I created a shipping program, Amazon directed to FBA center - LAS1 at NV.

I checked with other sellers and the cost of local transportation is quite high from California to LAS1. In addition, many sellers advised me that this specific warehouse has very long receiving times.

Can I ask Amazon to for another FC center closer to my external warehouse and with a faster receiving process?

Answer:

Unfortunately, we don't have a lot of options. In essence, Amazon functions as our bosses and we have no choice but to align ourselves with them based on their algorithm.

Some software may be able to solve this problem, but this might be considered manipulation and falls into the "gray area."

Anyway, in some cases we have no choice but to work by the "big boss" rules and find a solution for maintaining inventory and keeping appropriate profit margins.
